My PC can't play any media file

I don't know realy what's going on. Yesterday I was playing song and misic just stopped. I've tried to replay it but it didn't work. Also I've tried to play movie(avi) but it also failed. Just a minutes ago I downloaded codec and installed it. But guess what, same problem.

Just one more thing: when I restart my PC I can play any file I want but just in first five minutes. PLEASE help me, or I'll go jump off a bridge. I mean unistall windows and get a linux. This wasn't a first time I have issues with windows 7.

And my english sucks.

OUCH I just found a problem. But it's realy akward. Problems are my usb genius gaming headphones. I dosconnected them and connected my genius speakers. Guess what? Well the problem is solved I guess. But if anyone can explain me why is this happening?

Hello my friend. check to see if your driver for your usb headphones is properly installed and that the drivers are up-to-date...
