I'll try that and post back. Thanks! :D

EDIT: I don't think I can access the heatsink in a laptop without damaging anything.

Oh, didn't know it was a laptop. In that case, make sure the vent holes in the bottom and sides are free of dust and clogs.

What are you doing when the 3 beeps happen? If the 3 beeps are RAM related are you positive the CPU is hot?
If you have it on your lap you could be blocking the air vents too, smae if on a soft cusion or a bed.

Hi guys! Thanks for all the replys and what not. For reference, I DID clean out my vents and stuff with an air compressor. I am going to use a more targeted clean out today when I get my air duster. Also, It could be a RAM issue. I did not recently replace/take out RAM. The problem is that my computer freezes, I'm not sure what it is. I do get the beeping, but no freezing after I cleaned out the processor fan. But when my computer first starts up, my programs that start with it, (skype, MSN messenger, antiviruses, and audio manager) freeze up and don't respond. This is really puzzling me. I hope I don't have to get a new computer

Once again,
Thanks everyone for the help!

I have to pay to contact HP. My warranty is over. I seen that it's a RAM error. I ran a RAM self-test and it didn't get past 20%

First, the beep codes are covered in the hp documentation which is free.

2nd, consult the docs for your computer for a compatible ram and replace the ram.

With bad ram, all efforts are senseless.

If you have a good computer store in the area, they will go online and 100% verify that you will be receiving compatible ram, thus saving you the effort of downloading the documentation for your computer from hp.

The model number that you list (CQ62-US210) doesn't seem to exist.

I haven't done much with laptops, but some have one of the SODIMMs in an internal socket that can only be accessed by removing the keyboard. I hope that isn't the case here. If it is, you may need the help of a professional to replace the RAM.

If you can only remove one memory module easily, you may as well try running the medmory check again with that module removed. Murphy's Law dictates that it'll be the internal one that failed, though.

I took the RAM out, and put it back in. It worked, but that's probably only temporary. Is there a permanent fix to this? Or is it OK for now?

If you're lucky, reseating the RAM is all that you needed.

+1 to that.

Just run the memory test again to see. If the test comes clean then it probably was simply loose modules.
Laptops, being portable, are very prone to this and it is a common problem.
