My "sent items" with attachments are showing "ready to be sent".

I have a client who's Sent Items in Outlook 2010 (if they have an attachment) have a line near the bottom that says "ready to be sent......". She is an insurance agent, and when binding coverage, needs to be sure that the recipient received the email and if called upon to resend it, it should NOT say "ready to sent".

Hi dfritz101, welcome to the Forum.

I am not quite sure what you question is as your information is a little vague, but perhaps this website might be on the right track.

Create a custom Send to... shortcut

If this is not what you are referring to, please get back with more information concerning the problem.

emails are set up for read receipt and delivery receipt. For some reason when an email with an attachment goes into the outbox a message is added at the bottom "ready to be sent" That message should be removed when it goes into the "sent items" box. This causes the question, was the email really sent?
Am I correct in assuming that when you click "send", the message goes first into the outbox, then to the sent items box?

It's critical in this case that the "ready to be sent" message is not there in the sent items box. For example: A customer buys a new car and has the insurance agent add coverage for it. The insurance agent then emails the insurance company with the additional vehicle coverage to their existing insurance plan. If the customer has an accident, and the insurance company did not receive the email from their agent, then the customer is NOT covered. So the agent goes to the sent items box and forwards the original email to the insurance company. It would not look good if the email said "ready to be sent".

Does that help?

Yes, you are correct the email first goes to the Out box, then gets sent & that is shown in the Sent Items Box.

Did you read through that website that I had in Post #2. There it mentions the "ready to be sent" item that you are referring to & how you can customise you email set up so it does not show.

If the emails are set up for Read & Delivery receipt then proof is evident that the recipient has received & read the email message.

Thanks Ranger4. I was unaware of how she was creating the attachment... via right click, send to, mail recipient. The first time I read the article, it didn't look like it applied to this situation. My client is a happy camper now.
Thanks again.
Oh yeah, take a look at GMC pickups. You deserve better!!!!

You are welcome & thanks for getting back. Glad I could be of help.

I will ignore you reference to GMC pick ups. :D. GMC pick ups are not readily available here in Australia & have to be specially ordered & they are very expensive.

GM here sell the Colorado, which is virtually a re-badged Isuzu, with a few modifications.

Here the Ford Ranger is out selling the very popular Toyota Hilux. Ford 150s, 250s & 350s are available, but I think the buyer has to pay for conversion to right hand drive & like the GMC are very expensive.

I'll have to speak with GM about that and no Isuzu knock-offs:D
