It was a GeForce 8600GT may it RIP as it was a very nice card.Anyways, when i took it out to see what was wrong, I noticed 3 of the bigger capacitors were burst. The tops were open and brown stuff was slightly commin out of one. Never a good sign : / Its strange though, the past like month or so, I noticed a LOUD popping noise, NO idea where it was commin from like a loud ballon pop. I've heard three total pops and I can guess it was these things bursting after all.
So my question to you is, why would this happen? Was it age goin on like 2 maybe 3 years? Maybe a PSU issue? Driver issue?
When i buy my new card I dont want this same thing happening, also, i like to know why things happen out of curiosity. If anyone has an idea please share
Lastly my new card is going to be a radeon 4870 or 50, single. To go with the new monitor I just bought before this happened.
