When I am told to go to START/SEARCH and type in COMMAND, so I can RUN as Admin, it finds neither COM.exe or COMMAND.exe so I can "Run as Admin" in the DOS windows. It use to.

I do have a RUN command that will bring up the DOS window but when executing some commands like CHKDSK it tells me I have to run as ADMIN.

Any recommendations on how to fix this issue? I have GHOST/Virtual CD/DVD drives I cant get rid of and this Forum has a solution but I need that Command.exe as Admin.

For example: the page on GHOSTS DVD/CD says to first run sfc /scannow

When it runs it says "You must run as Admin"

But I do not know how to make it ADMIN except to right click on COMMAND/COM and select "Run as Admin" after I find the file COMMAND/COM.

Thanks

Command in Start menu search should return command prompt - not sure why it doesn't. You didn't happen to rename Command Prompt on the Start menu to Cmd or anything else did you?

Could you post a link to the GHOST/Virtual CD/DVD drives where you found the instructions on SevenForums? I'd like to read them and then ask a few more questions.

Usually "Ghost" or virtual CD drives are associated with software that emulates a CD so you can mount an ISO image. Utilities such as Daemon Tools and PowerISO have this capability.

Sir George pointed you towards a tutorial that showed you how to create a Run Command Prompt as Admin shortcut.
