there is a file on my computer that i have to find
unfortunately, it's a .jpg file
if i run a search on my computer for *.jpg i'm obviously going to get a ton of files
i'm trying to figure out a better way to do this
if i sort the search results by folder, i can get some separation, but if i delete those folders out of my search results window, won't it delete the actual files as well?
anyone have any suggestions?
thanks in advance!

Yes, it will delete those files/folders if you delete from the search results.

You can use different filters in the search, such as choosing a 'last modified' date or date range, searching by file size, picture size, etc. Here's a list of different keywords available: Advanced Query Syntax (Windows)

Hope that helps.
