Thanks for the hugs. That put tears in my eyes because I recently lost a cousin who would always give me a big hug when we would see each other. But tears are good and so are hugs. Bless you and yours THW.

Our custom here in the US is to shake hands.
For me, I will shake a man's hand with my left hand over the top and for a lady I always give hugs.

Never really understood the hug thing. I mean with women, ok. That is much more natural. but two guys?
I mean when it's on a soccer field after a goal i get it, or when you get really happy about something.
It's just stupid to go around hugging every living thing. Do it like men, the handshake.

They can and many do. I prefer to hug women and shake hands with men. However my cousin would always shake my hand and then bear hug me. He was a big Native American and loved to talk and laugh..

Well. I can hug my best (manly) friends, but it's not like I have any desire to do it, unless I got dumped or something.

Maybe it's different where you live.

I will hug a woman, and shake a mans hand.
If the guy is a good friend or family member, they will get the handshake with the one armed hug.

I think when you're secure about yourself, a hug is fine.

Here in the U.S. it's not really the way most of us were brought up.

But it's pretty common with real close friends and family.

JHM hi...I've noticed that over the years.. however I do think that's been changing for sometime now... Maybe it goes along with our wonderful Men taking more interest in being great Dads/stay at home Dads. I really think that's been such a great blessing especially for men.. I noticed some of the younger generation in the film were quicker to run to hug the guys with the signs.
We all need to get and give hugs.. in fact it makes us better people.

Dennis hi.. this is so beautiful !!!!... took awhile to get people started hugging ,then it just took off..Thanks for sharing this.
