ok, I'll admit it right away, I don't know where else to go to get help with this.

here's the problem: I have a wedding video taken on my old Motorola V635, and I'm trying to get it onto a video DVD, but all the converters I've tried output the video with no sound. when I play the file directly, the sound is there, so I know there's nothing wrong with the file itself.

got any suggestions?

(sorry if this is misplaced, I really don't know where else I could ask)

I don't know how you'd get the video off your phone onto the computer but (email? MMS? USB?), Handbrake is by far the most comprehensive video converter I have ever used. Depending on what type of format your phone saves to, Handbrake will probably be able to convert it.

HandBrake

Other Info
This machine was given to me when my dad bought a new computer. I keep throwing upgrades at it and it keeps on ticking. Think I've done everything to it that can be done outside a PSU upgrade so I can run an even BETTER GPU.
oh, I haven't had the phone itself for years, but I've managed to keep the video around (the phone used a microSD card, so getting the file off the thing was easy)

I'll give handbrake a shot, the trial video converter would have cut out after 3 minutes (the video is 4:45 (M:SS) long)

EDIT: hhmmm...this may reflect badly on me, but I can't seem to get handbrake to do anything at all, when I hit encode after checking the settings it just clears the queue, outputting nothing.

now this HAS to reflect badly on me, but I managed to find a capable free converter using a google search. I swear, (far to often, but anyways..) I really should write down somewhere to do a google search before asking something...

You can use Android Video Converter is the easiest Android converter and also it is free to download. You can convert any format of video into android compatible format, and enjoy your videos in your Androids. The application even converts iTunes videos, YouTube videos and DVD format files into Android compatible formats.

But Ginostanley the thread you have posted to is three years old. I would have thought the problem would have been long since resolved!
