Hi all

I have recently upgraded my pc to the window 7 ultimate, but it seems that the display driver is not functioning properly. I cannot see the "sleep" option available and thus, i did some browsing through the net and found out the root cause to be the display drivers.
Can someone advise me if my current display driver "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter" is the correct one? Please advise me the suitable display / graphic driver that i can install as I see that the 3D accelerator is also missing as well.
Below are my system info. Thank you in advance.

donavan,

Welcome to the forums. Please update your specs and then try looking at this:

- Click Start Orb > type cmd in the search box > right-click cmd in results above > click Run as administrator
- At the prompt type powercfg -a > press enter

Read the results to determine what sleep states are available

You can also try visiting your manufacturer's website to locate the correct drivers. Source

Updating your specs will help to see if a driver is available, and if your system supports sleep.

Sorry I don't have the link handy, but if you browse the forum, you should be able to find some threads on installing the Intel 915 driver. It DOES work for Win7, will give you virtual desktops and other features. However, it is an XPDM driver (XP driver that works in Win7) and not a true Win7 driver -- which is why it does NOT work at all in Win8.
