I can't find the driver for my function keys that adjust my brightness, volume, ect..

I have a Samsung XP-460 44g (32 bit)

I checked Samsung's site for the driver, but i couldnt find the FN driver anywhere..

Any ideas?

odd, i was under the impression that it is a sub-os/bios feature (no driver required)...
try either the chipset drivers or the downloadable software. my MSI netbook required MSI's SCM in order for the battery fn key to work, and it may be something like that in your case.

Two things to try off the top of my head:

1) press alt+ctrl+fn

2) Make sure keyboard is set to English U.S. standard, not multilingual. (I'm assuming US english)

It still won't work..

Some of the Fn keys work like Fn+esc and Fn+home, but others such as brightness and volume don't work..

Any other ideas?

P.S. - the chipset driver didn't do anything.

You might have to install some of the Samsung software as you do with Vaio laptops to get certain function keys working.

It may be a software that is needed. I would check the driver/software page for your laptop. You may have to install the vista software if they haven't created windows 7 versions yet.

It's not what you are looking for, but for quick adjustments of volume and brightness I use WIN + X combo.

WIN is that key with the funny looking wavy flag on it.
