Need for Speed (1999)

I found one of my older games Need for Speed 3: Hot Pursuit that came out in 1999. I was wondering how I could get it to work on my 64 bit Windows 7 HP. It says it's not compatible when I try.

have you tried running in compatibility mode?

right-click on the program or shortcut >> properties >> compatibility >> try any of the compat modes there.

Yep, it tells me it's not compatible with x64 Windows.

Yea i had the same problem the other day aswell i tried installing GTA san andreas and it said 16-bit game not compatible with 64-bit system i wish somone could nake a program that could create a virtual system/machine so you can play lower bit games on your system.
I think we just can't play the game's end of :'(

16bit programs should work fine on 32bit windows.

however, at great risk of pushing a metaphor too far, you can't have your 64bit os cake and eat your 16bit software though.

there comes a time when you've just got to let go of all that legacy code...otherwise we would still be using 8bit...
