Need help booting Windows 7

Hi

I had Windows 7 Professional 64 bit installed on my comp and when i was playing League of legends it keeps disconnecting from pvp.net constantly, i tried reinstalling but didn't work. So i decided to install Windows XP on free 3rd Drive WD 750GB, not knowing that you can't install XP when you have windows 7 first installed. I tried deleting XP from the drive and disabled the drive that i installed windows xp then rebooting but it doesn't work. I tried using windows 7 dvd and repair option but computer doesn't detect any problems. So every time i start i get this message.

"Windows could not start because of a computer disk hardware configuration problem.
Could not read from this selected boot disk. Check boot path and disk hardware.
Please check the windows documentation about hardware disk configuration and your hardware reference manuals for additional information."

I would be very appreciated if anybody can help me solve this problem.

Unplug XP HD, enter BIOS setup to set Win7 as first HD to boot (after DVD drive).

Boot the Win7 DVD, press Shift F10 at first screen to open Command Line, mark Win7 active using Diskpart commands given here: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/71432-partition-mark-active.html. If you have the 100mb SysReserved partition, mark it active instead.

Now boot back into Win7 DVD Repair console, click through to Recovery Tools list to run http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/681-startup-repair.html?ltr=S up to 3 separate times with reboots until Win7 starts.

i tried to do the diskpart but i couldn't do it cuz when is typed in list disk all my disk doesn't say online like the pic you posted, instead it showing foreign. you told me to unplug xp hd so i did that by unplugging the sata cable of the xp hd. I don't know what i am doing wrong here but it's not working for me. I attached the pic that i took about the diskpart not showing online.

i noticed that when i unplugged the hd with xp on it these drives shows foreign. when i tried it xp hd plug back in they all comes online. what do you suggest i do?

It looks like you have Dynamic disks for the two remaining HD's after you remove XP HD.

This is likely why they cannot be marked Active. You'll either need to continue using the XP HD to boot Win7, or move the data off Win7 to convert it to Basic disk and then reimage or reinstall Win7..

I am not sure saving a Win7 System Image will allow you to reimage it back onto a converted Basic disk. You may need to Reinstall Win7.

First see if you can mark Win7 active by plugging back in the XP HD, then using DISKPART from DVD to mark XP partition INACTIVE, then mark Win7 partition ACTIVE. If Win7 will still not mark Active, then either return XP to ACTIVE to boot Win7, or save a Win7 backup image and move data off to convert Win7 HD to basic: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc776315(WS.10).aspx

If Win7 will mark Active, then boot the Win7 DVD Repair console to run Startup Repair x3.

actually i got it working now. it worked it just that when i take out xp hd it goes foreign for some reason. i plug the xp hd back in and did what said to do for the rest of the part and it works. Thanks alot man. Really appreciated. glad there are awesome guys like you out there helping people.

Glad it worked. If you want to post back a screenshot of your full Disk Management drive map and listings, we can look over to to make sure there are no other potential problems.
