So after being happy about upgrading my 660 to a 770 it turned out that my so called "GAMING PC" cant be upgraded to the 770 because of the psu 250w that cant be changed to a bigger one and for the 770 it uses 250 which in this case can never work on this, so i've asked some guy and he told me that for a 250w psu you need to get a GPU that uses max 180w in order to get it to run with my x51
so bottom line i need your help to tell me what GPU should i get ?as what is the most powerful GPU can i have on this pc,thanks.

That 500W has to cover every single component in your machine, and ideally you need a 10% overhead. I'm not sure what a 760 pulls when under load but a 250W PSU is nowhere near big enough. If you're GPU alone uses 170W what is going to power the rest of the system? 80W?
