So I have an hp pavilion g7. I'm also looking forward to doing a factory reset. I got the download for the OS from here:

Windows 7 Direct Download Links

In English x64.
I do have a product key for windows 7 below my laptop. I'm wondering if it works to do this install.
And also how do I do this whole process.

-Thanks

Everything you need to get a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7
is in the blue link. Read the Special Note for HP Owners at the end to understand how to handle the OEM partitions.

Most users committed to a clean install just delete all partitions after making their recovery disks and the other preparations which are all covered so you don't miss anything.
