I have an old computer (and when I say old, I mean dinosaur) that was given to me by a friend. It has Windows XP with no service packs (imagine how much fun it is to use that ), but it also has Microsoft Office 2000 on it, and I wanted to find the product key for it. I found WinKeyFinder, but that only supports Office 2000 SP2, and I don't have the time to install SP2 (it currently has no service packs). Microsoft said they wouldn't be able to do it, so does anyone have any ideas on how I can find it? Or will I have to just install Office 2000 SP2?

My primary laptop has Windows 10 on it, and my shared desktop (which is actually a laptop being used as a desktop) has Windows 7 Professional on it. I still use both, but I would say I use my laptop a bit more now.

I don't understand. What do you mean that you "don't have the time to install SP2?" (and after that, SP3)

Whenever I had to reinstall XP SP1, installing SP2 and SP3 took a total of about 40 minutes, tops, and this was with an ancient single-core Athlon 2700+ CPU and a 5400rpm 80GB IDE hard drive.

Sorry, I'm not talking about XP SP2, I could do that easy. I mean Office 2000 SP2. And yes that would normally be just as easy as a Windows service pack. But it's not just installing it; it's getting it onto a disk, copying it to this old computer (it has no internet connection) and then installing it. And on top of all that, this old computer has a small hard drive with a bunch of junk I have to go through. I think it only has like 24MB left on it. By the way, this computer's hard drive is 12GB (yes, I'm serious) and it only has about 53MB of free space. Office 2000 is pretty much the only reason I'm still hanging onto this old thing.

So it's not like I can't ever install any service packs, there's just a lot that needs to be done before I can do that. But if I absolutely need to, I will when I have the time. Sorry for any misunderstanding.
