Solved Need help finding vital desktop info off a corrupted ex-C Drive

Long story short. A friend was having a problem with BSOD's and loop booting on his spinner C drive. He runs out and get's a new SSD and re-installs W7 and life is much better now. The big issue is he had placed several critical project files on his spinners desktop without backing them up and he can't locate them now that the drive isn't the boot drive anymore. Does anyone here know where the desktop and it's info would reside? Your help will be greatly appreciated.

All fans PWM; speeds at idle: CPU circa 500 rpm; intake circa 600 rpm; exhaust circa 600 rpm; CPU temps 27 idle and 47 C load in a warm room (27 C/81 F) when running Intel Extreme Tuning Utility stress test.
He says under users that the file is empty. This is why I'm thinking there should be a copy buried deeper in the windows files?
