Hi peeps,
My pc bsoded whilst I was playing a game.
I don't know why, but could you please help me?
I downloaded the SF bsoding tool and ran it, although I'm not exactly sure how it works
The bsod said something about Bad Pool Header. This isn't the first time it's happened either.

Help is much appreciated :D

Welcome

I've seen 3 software installed in your computer which are known cause of blue screens

Code:
Start Menu\Programs\MSI Afterburner bradscoolio-PC\bradscoolio:Start Menu\Programs\MSI Afterburner bradscoolio-PC\bradscoolio
Start Menu\Programs\DAEMON Tools Pro Public:Start Menu\Programs\DAEMON Tools Pro Public
Start Menu\Programs\Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 Public:Start Menu\Programs\Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 Public
The dumps do not give a probable cause but the bug check:
STOP 0x00000019: BAD_POOL_HEADER, the usual cause: Device driver

We'll leave kaspersky there but please uninstall daemon tools and msi after burner, they are known cause of bsods. Also revert to default clocks if any part of your computer is overclocked.

Once uninstalled run the system file checker and reboot if it finds integrity violations.

Code:

Unfortunately my pc did it again :( all my setting were stock & I got rid of the utilities. I can scan the dump file myself to find out if my suspicion is correct that I think it's a driver issue :P

I will if I can't handle it, but for now I know how to read analyze my dumps :) so I'll be able to sort it when I turn my pc on after school tomorrow. It's currently 11:24pm here & my computer is off, so I'll sort it tomorrow :)

Ps: I'm actually quite surprised how simple it is to diagnose a bsod after doing 2 hours of research :P

Okay..I was thinking you should enable driver verifier..read why:

Lets enable driver verifier to rule out buggy drivers
:ar: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/101379-driver-verifier-enable-disable.html

infosmall1.png
Information

Driver Verifier runs in the background, "testing" drivers for bugs. If it finds one, a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) will result; the corresponding dump file will hopefully show the faulty driver.

Driver Verifier monitors kernel-mode drivers and graphics drivers to detect illegal function calls or actions that might corrupt the system. It can subject the drivers to a variety of stresses and tests to find improper behavior.

Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly. The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out. If it doesn't crash for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation.

Thanks! I did actually stumble apon this when trying to find out how to read dumps. I'll run it for every driver if my dump says no probable cause ,like my 1st bsod, otherwise I'll just test the probable cause on my latest dump. If symptoms persist after that I'll run a full driver verify :)
Btw. How do you replace a faulty system driver? Eg: .sys file error

Well said, Brad. How far and in which way you will accept the suggestions is on you. We are here, if needed, let us know.

A sys is not faulty, but it faults for some reason. Depending on the reason we decide what to do. Usually we update the drivers to latest. If it is a problem searching it manually, DriverMax works somehow good.
If needed, we use Driver Sweeper to remove the driver first, and then install the new one.

Those are windows .exe and .sys files they are only replaceable only if windows is reinstalled.

Anyway, To make sure that hard drive is good run disk check following this tutorial :ar: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html then Hard drive scan usings SeaTools :ar: SeaTools | Seagate both long and short tests.

And answer the questions in my previous post.
