I play a game called stronghold kingdoms, and the game does not work with newer nvidia drivers. I currently have nvidia GeForce 6150SE nForce 430. I am trying to revert back to an older one that worked before, but I can't use the rollback button(its grayed out). how do I change it to an older one, or is there a new one from a different company that will run just as well on my computer. My computer is a Emachines EL1352-23e. FYI I don't know a whole lot of computers.

if I revert it to GeForce 270 would what would that effect on my computer. My dad does not want me to use an older one that will show worse graphics or slow the computer down

You'll still have to use drivers that support your specific model number of NIVIDIA graphics card.

A GeForce 270 card would have less video performance than a GeForce 430 card.

Brink's advice is right on. Like you, I have an nVidia card & use software that is stable with only one driver (v296.10). I've tried several updates (latest being v320.49) & all have had issues.

But, as Brink said, you must uninstall every driver version until their gone. For me, this meant going into Start, Control Panel, Programs & Features - finding the installed nVidia driver, uninstalling it, reboot. But, each time I rebooted, Windows would search & find & install a previously installed nVidia driver (older than the one I just uninstalled). I went through the uninstall process several times before I wound up with a Windows Generic driver. Then & only then could I reinstall v296.10. There may be faster way of doing this but I found this to be, for me, the most thorough.

Make sure you install a 100% compatible driver for your GeForce 6150SE nForce 430.
