I have the same wireless card and that doesn't happen to me...it must be something with 7....have you tried a repair install? If someone could say otherwise that would be great seeing how that is a little drastic...

EDIT: Install the latest chipset drivers and video drivers...see if that helps it.

I have the same wireless adapter and no problems here. I am on 7260 now but I did not have the issue with 7100. But I always installed the latest drivers from Intel. Go to the Intel support page and download/install the latest chipset and wireless drivers. They updated them on the site a few weeks ago.

Hmm...it may be necessary to wait for your computer manufacture to provide working drivers for their particular setup they have in their computer...You have the right drivers from intel...it seems to be some type of incompatibilty with Windows 7 and your manufacture's setup...Sorry I couldn't be anymore help

Most laptops use hotkeys to turn wireless on & off.

Have you tried turning off, then on the wireless to see if it will reconnect without reboot? You might only have to do this once, then it will work properly from then on.

If that doesn't work you could try this instead of rebooting. While wireless is on, open administrative command prompt, type:
Code:
ipconfig /release
then type:
Code:
ipconfig /renew

Are there any firmware updates to your router?

Hm...now that you mention it OEM I had a peculiar problem when I installed 7 RC my first time. It involved my wireless card and when I ran a clean install, I had my wireless switch turned off. When I entered my new installation of 7 and turned my wireless switch on it not only did not turn the wireless on but it never even recognized the card correctly again...It came down to me performing a repair install with the switch on to finally get things working. Extremely odd huh?

so, you say it says "Limited Connectivity" on your wireless connection, can you get some more information, open a command prompt and type "ipconfig /all" and post the output of it, also try to ping your gateway which is propably 192.168.1.1, type "ping 192.168.1.1" if your gateway is something else then ping that instead... and show us the output.. maybe it's just a DHCP issue...

your network card and its driver is working fine. You are connected to the network but you are not getting any access to internet that is why is was showing "Limited access". Some ISPs have there own client where the gateway server address is present and there might be an option to enter username and password. When they come to install your line they install it on your computer. When you boot your windows that client software starts automatically in the background giving you access to internet. It could be that software crashes after your computer wake up.

Are you any kind of client software???

If yes. Then I would suggest you to contact your service provider for this issue and ask them for an updated version.

Hope this information have helped you..:)
