Need help recovering my 2tb hard drive.

Hi everyone this is my first post here and it's a huge problem... I have a WD 2tb my book for Mac only hard drive. I was using it fine with my Mac OS. One day my Mac OS had to go for a service. I needed some files from my book so i tried to use it in a Windows. When i insert it at first it didn't work on Windows but then i run into some settings and accidentally formatted the hard drive. Then i recovered many of the files using easeus. But it didn't recovered​ my premiere Pro project files. Which i was really looking for. Any other software or way to get my project files back? Those are not just files they are my hours of work.

Any help is greatly appreciated. thank you in advance.

You need unformat software there are lots of free ones that assumes you haven't written to the drive recovering other files

What is the file format ( file extension like .doc .jpg) of your Premier Pro Project files? Check the list here to ascertain whether PhotoRec can recover those file formats. http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/File_Formats_Recovered_By_PhotoRec

I just checked the webiste and yes it says premier projects files can be recoverd. Thank you for sharing i will start downloading it.

All files of any importance need at least 1 backup copy while files of particular importance should have 2 or more backup copies. Maintaining backups is the only reliable way to protect your files. Data recovery methods cannot be relied on.

Backups should be made before problems develop. After may be too late.

After you have recovered most if not all of the desired files onto external media, aim your program at a few of those files and make sure the files can be read from, written to, and so on.
And, after all is said and done, in short, backup, backup, backup.

Something to consider: The disk is apparently a MAC-formatted disk, since you were using it with your MAC. Perhaps it would be better to plug it into your MAC and use some MAC unformatting or data recovery software to recover your files.

You might be able to recover everything with the disk plugged into a Windows computer. But data recovery is a fragile thing, and I wouldn't want to take a chance on losing my data by recovering the data in Windows when it was created on a MAC.

Easeus has data recovery software for the MAC. I've never tried their data recovery software, but perhaps that would be the best option for you.
