Solved Need help restoring bookmarks - Firefox

Hello again!
After having wiped my system clean and reinstalled windows, i found myself unable to get my bookmarks back, even though i copied the appdata folders from users to the new system.
I have the backup bookmark files (bookmarks-2011-11-10.json etc) in the mozilla folder, and when i open them with notepad i can clearly see the actual bookmark info inside, but for some reason firefox gives me the "unable to process backup file" error whenever i try to restore bookmarks from any of these backups.

Any helpful advices?

I read about quitting firefox and deleting the places.sqlite file from my firefox profile folder.
I also found myself to have two profiles, so i deleted the second one and kept only one (also with deleted places.sqlite)
That fixed it
