I currently have an SSD running my OS on it, and a Terabyte HDD running games and stuff. The problem is when I go to download something, it always defaults to the SSD which is the C: drive in my case. I want it to default to the D: drive so that my SSD doesn't get full as it was only intended to run my OS. I've read many forums and can't find an answer that fits my situation.

Using Opera. Ctrl F12 to open Preferences > Advanced > Downloads :choose download folder
for more options opera:config > search for downloads > User Prefs Temporary Download Directory
Another option would be to download Opera & choose options in the installer> Install path ( change to another drive ,create folder) > Install for Stand Alone Installation (USB) .......Everything is then contained in the one folder.
