Hi. I'm trying to set up an ad hoc connection with my ipod touch so i can use midi over wifi. I keep getting this message: An error occured while ICS was being enabled (null). I did get the network setup and the ipod receiving the wifi signal but could not access the internet. I've tried again but i got the message 'Windows could not set up a network'. The wireless connection in network connections also has a red cross underneath it.
I've tried a few times and had mixed results but no actual internet access on the ipod and several times when the wireless network was connected i lost actual internet access. I've tried enabling ICS but no dice. Any ideas or do i need a router? Thanks!

Anyone? I have no idea why i can't enable sharing. It's probably something really simple. I tried bridging the connection between my cable and wifi which seemed to work but i could not get access on the ipod. Wifi also seemed to disable it intermittently as well. I assume the missing link is ics but how do i enable it? Thanks.

I've tried setting up a wireless connection several times and i keep getting the message 'Windows could not turn on internet connection sharing'. Also there is no option to auto connect. I can post the diagnostics results if it will help. Maybe it's not possible and i need to get a router but i need to know if the issue is with windows 7 or my wifi card. Cheers.

first of all u need to make sure ur wireless drivers are up-to-date. then set a new ad hoc network. it would be the best if u do it using usb flash. then on your wireless device in 'network and sharing centre' set system 'ip' and 'dns' as automatic and reboot. it worked for me
