Solved NEED HELP Windows 7

OK ill start off on saying hi and im new here. Sorry for being a nube. LOL My sony lap top has viruses. I would like to get a free copy of windows 7 premium with activation key. Can someone please help me find this. I want to wipe out my whole system and start new. If someone has the time to tell me step by step how to do this. That would be great. Please help

You won't get a free copy of Windows. However, you can Clean Reinstall a Factory OEM Windows using the product key that came with your laptop. That's if you don't want to work through cleaning your machine.

A copy of Windows 7 is free but the legal COA activation key are not free.

What Micorsoft COA sticker do you have on your laptop?
On that sticker will be which Windows 7 came with the laptop and give you the activation COA that you have already paid for when you bought the laptop. You can use that to clean install that Windows 7 again on that laptop.
This sticker might be on the bottom of the laptop or inside the battery compartment.

Then get the key from him. And follow the tutorial. Or pay him to do it again.

Unless get from my friend means its a illegal copy. In which case you are just asking for trouble.

If your friend does not have a key for it, and does not have the windows 7 key sticker on it, Then its a illegal copy. You will need to buy one.

Newegg and amazon are good places to start.

Were not cops.

Just for your security and safety, you should buy a legal copy. Again from newegg or amazon. Unwrapped brand new. Like this one:

If you ask your friend for the product key he purchased you'll have the key to a brand new install of Windows. I'm not sure why you're so reluctant to get that information.

You either need to ask your buddy for the key, buy a new one, or use the Vista key on the machine and install that.

Here is where you can get the Vista .ISO if you go that route.

If I go the rout of down loading vista where do I find a product key that was originally came with the laptop. I'm sorry for being so confusing my body that use to have the laptop moved out of town. I don't talk to him any more.
