I am running Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit on an AMD system I built starting with an AMD barebones kit. I believe I have a hardware issue, but I have not had success isolating the faulty component. I've been going insane for the last week regarding this. If anyone can help me out I will be eternally grateful.

Win 7 Enterprise 32 bit
AMD Athlon II X4 630 2.8 ghz
2 x 2gb ddr3 ram
ATI Radeon 5450 gpu
on-board sound
Western Digital 1.5 TB 7200 RPM SATA HDD

If anyone is willing to help and needs more information just let me know. Thanks in advance.....

Matt

I should add that the BSOD's occur once or twice a day, UNLESS I pop in a game like NBA 2k11 and play for about 20 mins, then I can make it crash pretty regularly.

Because of that I originally thought it was my video card, but I have the same symptoms if I remove the card.

I really think I'm down to either RAM or Motherboard. Hoping it's the RAM even though I can pass Memtest......

**should have edited my original post, sorry for the double post!!!**

Well guys, I got another BSOD, I ran through the BSOD posting instructions again....

It's been a few days now, has anyone had a chance to look at these dumps I am sharing? Am I doing it incorrectly? If so please let me know. I could really, really use a helping hand....

Thanks!

Hello,
It seems you have memory problems so I suggest you to test your RAM.
The possibilities could be bad RAM or Motherboard slot.
RAM - Test with Memtest86+

Also test your Harddrive:
Use WDC Data Lifeguard → EXTENDED TEST

Hey, thanks for taking the time to help me out!!!

I ran both tests you suggested, I got zero errors on Memtest86+ and a Pass on the HDD tool.

I get the BSOD's with video card in or out, I've bought a new power supply, I've bought new RAM.... I'm kind of down to CPU/Motherboard.

I started with an AMD barebones kit that shipped with CPU/Motherboard already mounted, and a PSU. I'm thinking of just returning it.

Any other ideas? My wife is snickering at me, telling me I should have got a Mac!

Also I just got another BSOD and one last night, so I ran through the posting procedure again and here is the result. I hope this is helpful?

How many passes did you run the memtest86?
It supposed to be 7 passes.

For troubleshooting purpose, I suggest you to uninstall completely VirtualCloneDrive software by Elaborate Bytes.

Then update this driver:

Thanks again.

Memtest ran overnight for a total of 8 passes.

I can take those steps, however these issues began immediately after a clean Windows install. It is a certainty that I have a faulty hardware component, I am just truong to figure out which peice it is.

Since all hardware is less than 30 days old, I may just exchange each component.

Thanks for the help.

Test your CPU with prime95 → http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/100352-cpu-stress-test-prime95.html

If prime test show no error then it might be motherboard failure.

I wanted to report back that my issue was finally resolved, and I believe you were right that it was a faulty motherboard.

I replaced the motherboard and I actually had the same issue at first. Then I replaced the RAM (again) and the problem vanished. I believe the original motherboard was faulty and was damaging the RAM, which would explain both a) why replacing the RAM that had been used with the original motherboard solved the issue and b) how I managed to get bad RAM several times in a row!

Thank you to all who took the time to help me. Very, very much appreciated. This forum is an invaluable resource!
