Being im not the best with things of this nature i was hoping i could get some help. Basicly sense the windows 7 install i have recieved roughly 3 mem dumps/BSOD. Im not sure what the errors mean, nor do i know how to read them. I was hoping someone could help me out so i can hopefully fix the issue.

Its the only file i have uploaded, 051009-15328-01.dmp

What are you doing when this occurs? Have you recently installed any drivers that are non native Windows 7? I suggest you run a memory checker just to make sure your ram is ok. Remove any add-in devices and revert back to Windows 7 drivers. Also run anti-virus/anti-malware to make sure your system is clean. Did you download Win 7 from Microsoft or other sources?

Usualy im watching movies off the internet, the only thing that i have installed recently was the driver for my digital camera. (which didnt work, and i also have a thread asking about). Other than that no virus or anything like that, i check daily due to which site i watch movies on. Also windows 7 came from microsoft. Now to be the typical xp user, this never happend when i was running xp. The only times its happend (ive counted 3 so far in the logs) is after 7. So could it be a driver possibly that is non windows (for instance my video driver)?

Edit- Also thanks, it really helps!!

Yes it could be a driver issue. In fact if you look at the last part of the memory dump it says "Likely the culprit is another driver on your system which cannot be identified." Graphics drivers are usually a good starting point.

OK again thanks, if its my graphics driver im kinda stuck. Would i be correct in assuming that its not going to cause any real harm if i get the same message agian? Ill have to go over the drivers on my day off.

I don't think it'll cause any harm, but I would be wary of sudden reboots leading to possibly corrupt files. I think you should be ok if they're not that frequent.

Btw have a look in event viewer and see if there are any errors that may give a clue. I'd also be tempted to make sure that you are running the latest bios on your pc. I hope you get it sorted. Let us know if you do.

The memory dump wasn't able to get the correct symbols for the kernel in my debugger (I'm trying some different things with the debugger, so this could be my fault).

That being said, it looks to me as if this is a user-mode problem (from the stack trace) that transitions into a kernel level problem.

As such, have you installed/updated any programs recently - particularly lower level programs or programs that are designed to access hardware?

Well sense ive installed 7 ive tried to put everything i normaly ran back on that i was running with XP. Ive had a few mem dumps so far, all while watching movies online and off. I removed the driver for my wirless being windows had one for me to use. I also removed my I-Modem software and instead of having 2 dumps a night, last night i only had one. Another thing to add on is that today when i got the update alert, there was an update for my graphics driver. Im hoping now that im using ALL windows drivers that it wont happen, but we will see. If i dont have any dumps for a while im going to re load I-modem so that i can see if that really has an effect on anything.

Thanks again for your guys help

can you write your specs please...
this is can either be graphics or sound...
since you are watching videos when this happend the video is both outputting sound and video in usermode to either DDshow or the media foundation (mfpmp.exe)...
so i dont think we can rule out audio either..;)

love my wacom pen and pressure sensitivity...
wished it worked in 7, SUSE for that matter though
My specs are horrible, im actualy really impressed that 7 is running as well as it is on my laptop.

Im running an Emachines M5414 laptop
Amd 2800 1.6ghz
768 mb of ram with 703mb usable
32 bit system
Sis mirage graphics 16mb vram
AC'97 integrated audio
And i believe the new hard drive i just put in is a 250gig western digital (unsure of the Rpm)

Also to add in, tonight everything has run flawlessly, i did the windows update for the video driver and its running great. NO blue screens for me! (10 hours of non stop video by the way)

My performance ratings are as follows
Processor 3.1
Memory 3.5
Graphics 1.9
Gaming graphics 1.0 (not to worried about this)
Primary hard disk 5.2
