Need help with my cd/dvd drive

hi... i recently disabled my cd/dvd drive so i can install a game without my computer complaining there is no disc in it to install. and i forgot to enable my disc drive and its been about a month and i forgot how i did it can anyone please help thankyou. im running on a windows 7 OS thank you again.

go to device manager and see if you can enable it.

control panel/Hardware and Sound/Devices and printers/Device manager

i looked where you said to but i couldnt find it. if you could. can u post a step by step please...

Going to bed i'll check back tomorrow. I've done the same thing before. Just check really good in control panel. You can even change the list view, it sometimes helps me find stuff I'd otherwise overlook.

UNDER the Devices and Printers heading, you'll see Device Manager on the right.

Click that, then look under the DVD/CD-Rom drive section (hit the plus sign).

Right click your drive and enable it.
