Hello to all, :D

After reading various post related to MS Net Frameworks (NFW) I'm really confused about the numbers that are shown with them. When I did my Win 7 install in Feb. 2012. I remember reading something about NFW 1.1, and know I'm wondering if I should have installed it rather than 4.0. I've always thought that the numbers shown with NFW's were revisions. (the higher the number the better the tool) Then I find out that some (like 4.0) are for use by developers and one might have any number of NFW's install depending on what you need to do. Of course I may be totally wrong about this. :o

(It would be nice if there was more data on why,when,where and how to use NFW's. What components the Drivers are used for, etc...etc.)

My PC only has MS Net Framework 4.client profile installed on it. But I'm getting repeated Critical Driver Framework User Mode Errors 10110 & 10111. So should I have installed NFW 1.1 instead. (these errors may have something to do with the printer problems I intermittantly have)

I'm also getting others errors but one that repeats a lot is Dhcp-Client 1001 but this may not be related to the ones above.

Before anyone asks sfc /scannow and/or Recovery will not fix these errors.

I'll appreciate any help Thanks

Regarding Event viewer showing errors 10110 & 10111 related to .Net Framework listed as Critical: There is nothing specific I can find which addresses the message you listed, although there are other posts with the same or similar issue. The best suggestions I have are;

1. Be sure you are running only one AV real time scanner.
2. Run an AV scan with the most current definitions installed.
3. Run MBAM (MalwareBytesAntiMalware) to test for possible infection.
4. You could try a restore point, but it may have an adverse effect.

LASTLY AND MOST IMPORTANTLY; If you are not having any system issues, error messages and the like while using the computer, it isn't something to be overly concerned about. I am not suggesting this means its unimportant, but not necessarily an extremely urgent issue.

As an afterthought, are new instances of these errors only appearing after a reboot? If so, they are less threatening then randomly appearing as a general rule.

Thank you Sir George,
I'm new to Windows 7 and this Forum so I not sure of how to post and what to attach. (this may be reason karlsnooks was upset) So my post my have been overkill.

Is it possible that I installed the wrong net frameworks? I have no idea of what they are used for. The events I show above have repeated many time since my Win. 7 install. Is there a place to look up specific events on the forum?

Thanks Jim

Net Framework is a programming language. It's used to write computer programs which can and usually do run on Windows.

  • Windows 7 (all editions) includes the .NET Framework 3.5.1 as an OS component. This means you will get the .NET Framework 2.0 SP2, 3.0 SP2 and 3.5 SP1 plus a few post 3.5 SP1 bug fixes. 3.0 SP2 and 3.5 SP1 can be added or removed via the Programs and Features control panel.
Note - for the .NET Framework 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5, you can see a graphical view of the above information in this blog post.

You can, also, download version 4 from;

If you disconnect the HP printer, does it resolve the error message?
