Need help with xpadder

Need help geting xpadder working with windows 7 ultimate 64bit version
i have been on this all day and cant find the solution i have tried version 5.3 and 5.6
i can get the program to run but no matter what i do it wont detect the xbox control have tried running in compatibility mode
for both xp and vista no luck ran as administrator no luck im sure it will work have seen youtube vids of people using it with win 7
the controll shows up in windows device list although i have also had a go with pinacle game profiler and had same problem so
there could be a problem with the control driver but i have used 3 different drivers and still nothing

eney ideas would be greatly appreciated

i am running xpadder on 7 (32bit) the only issue i encounterd was when i started it up i got a message saying it didnt recognise the operating system - so i just ran the troubleshooting program from control panel & selected run for windows vista /xp ( doesnt matter which 1 ) & it works fine - im using the wireless 360 controller with the adapter (dont know if this makes any difference from a wired version) if you have downloaded the latest drivers from microsoft & still cant get it to work - then maybe xpadder just doesnt work for 64bit windows possibly? thats all i can think. - could the pad itself be malfunctioning possibly ?

thanks for the reply it was something to do with the controll drivers i uninstalled and reinstalled them that seem to fix problem
