Hey Guys i recently built my gaming pc thanks to many people on my old acount on this site but my current set-up does not make me feel as good as i want to, my specs are

Intel i5 2500k (not over-clocked)
Nvidia gtx 550ti
8Gb
1Tb
Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3
750w

in 6 months i want to build one again but use the same hard drive/ram, i just need new processor, a beast graphics card, and a new mother board, i want to know some ideas so i can save up!!!!

i need to know an estimation of prices in 5-6 months

so a good priced processor for £200 max
good motherboard for cheapest price as possible
and graphics cards for £300 max

The graphics card is the main component!!

And when will these ridiculous prices for hardrives go down, they said early febuary since the flood in Thailand or somewhere but :L i want another 1Tb hardrive to record !

From all accounts the new gen of processors will be similar in performance to the current genn, just use less power. So no point in upgrading from the 2500K. The motherboard you have will be fine I would just get a SSD instead of upgrading the MB. and definately upgrade that 550ti, almost every new card will be a good deal faster. You will have plenty of money from your budget, given you don't need a new processor or motherboard, I would look at a 680gtx.

In 5 or 6 months, it is almost impossible to tell what new devices might be available. As 205tim mentioned, you can improve some of your components. I think generally, you can assume similar prices as you find now, but any newly released components will generally be more expensive than the preceding generation. A Guy
