Need help in getting the LG L224WS Monitor driver for Windows7 X64 OS. Without this the monitor is not displayed with native resolution. The driver inside the Driver CD is not compatible with Windows7 X64 OS but works fine with WinXP 32 bit. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Sanjeeb mate can you just recheck the monitor model number as I am coming up with drivers for everything but that model you quoted.

I can find them for the LG L222WS; but then only XP/Vista 32bit?
Yes Nigsy same here the bit version shouldn't be too much of a problem though I would have thought as some are back compatible.
But maybe time for an update on the monitor front??

Yes the monitor name is correct LG L224WS, this model is discontinued by LG now. This is a Analog monitor with only VGA port as input. The driver CD shipped with monitor is not compatible with Win7 64 bit OS , that is where the problem started. The monitor has different versions with names like LG L224W, LGL224WS-BN etc...

It is a 22" Analog monitor supporting native resolution of 1680x1050. Without the driver I am getting the max resolution supported is 1024x768 on Win7 64bit OS

Is your VGA driver ok?
If you have installed VGA driver with default generic monitor driver you should be able to set your monitor resolution.
please post your device manager screen shot with display adapters expanded

I would update the driver for your graphics/video card.

Get it from the manufacturers support site.

as I thought you need VGA driver not monitor driver..

standard VGA adapter means there is no VGA driver installed that's why you cant use other resolutions
Monitor driver is fine and you usually don't need it.
what graphics card are you using?
is it integrated in your motherboard or discrete.

If you don't know what VGA you are using.
Can you open device manager again expand Display adapters
Click properties on Standard VGA graphics adapter and select Details tab then in property field select Hardware IDs and post screen shot here

The problem is resolved after installing the HD graphics 2500 driver from Intel site. Somehow I feel the driver didn't install properly from motherboard supplied CD or it got corrupted due to any system update. Thank you all
