Get a Seasonic or XFX PSU in the 550 to 650 watt range.

I'd probably get a Z77 motherboard from Asus or Gigabyte in the 150 to 200 dollar price range, not the most expensive models, that had the features I needed. I wouldn't agonize over the motherboard details. Just hope it is problem free and hoep you never have to deal with manufacturer support.

Are you locked into that particular SSD, rather than Samsung, Intel, or Crucial?

I have had very good luck with Coolermaster PSU's myself, and I have a Corsair SSD in my laptop and OCZ SSD in my PC, both of which have been running well for over a year now.

I really envy you putting together a new system. Mine is only a year old yet, so it will be a few years before I need to upgrade. Enjoy!!!

Look at Crucial M4, Samsung 830, or Intel 320/330/520 SSDs.

Reads pretty powerful to me. All I'd add is to check that PSU capacity and availability to power the Graphics card (You'll know some have dedicated power lead needs).
As I understand it, those solid-state drives only speed up Booting, so the cost is high if the PC is rarely switched off. Did I read the OS HDD is 240G? Somewhat undersize, IMHO.
Also you said you have several extra drives "available" - worth checking these can be plugged into MBO as I had an issue with AHCI (was it?) where the MBO wouldn't accept extra drives, even though the SATA sockets were there.

Finally, have regard to noise...if you are video-editing the roomneeds to be fairly silent (so you can hear subtle audio-effects).
Even now, I wish I'd gone for a multi-core hyperthreading processor, for extra speed when rendering..

Good luck.

This prog has been OK for nearly 1yr . . . . DVD Architect Studio v5.0 will give very similar Fault-Code( See postings). nearly 1 month later, without any video-processing, if I fiddle with the "Playlist" - this is part of the User-design and not anything "rogue" - but it suggests (to me?) that it's not any video-content (IE screen play action, or audio files) that are to blame.
SSD's speed up many things. To many to make a list.
