I have a removable drive bay that my Win7-64 will not recognize when I insert it and turn it on. Here are the steps I take so it will be recognized:
Start
Control Panel
Administrative Tools
Computer management
Disk management
Action
Rescan Discs
After doing the above 7 steps, I can use the inserted drive. So, I would like to know if there is a shortcut for the steps or is there something I need to change so it will work? BTW, my computer is fairly new (i7 w/6Gb of triple channel memory) and I did have the drive working as a hot swap drive when I had Win XP Pro - 32 bit installed on it.
