Hi I'm new here but I need some help.

I'm trying to run an exe file but its not working. It's part of a repack of WoW.

I run it, and it goes smoothly then says something like "Bind unsuccessful to port 8093...."

then it just shuts it self down.

I need to know if its because parental controls or firewall is blocking it.

Thanks

here is a link to a picture of what happens:http://i46.tinypic.com/5ckawj.jpg

I'm sorry if this has nothing to do with parental controls or the firewall, I just have tryed everything else and this was the only thing left :(

The usual causes of unsuccessful bindings are that the port is already binded to something or that you do not have sufficient privileges.
To get rid of the privileges problem, try this:
  1. Go to start menu, cmd.exe and run as administrator.
  2. type in "net user administrator /active:yes" without the quotes. This will activate a total admin account in your computer.
  3. Log off.
  4. Log back on to the admin account. You should have perfect control over almost everything (few exceptions).
  5. Try the exe file for wow.
  6. When you are done, log back off.
  7. Log back onto the account you started with. Go to start menu, type in cmd and run as admin.
  8. Type in "net user administrator /active:no
  9. That will disable the admin account.
  10. Go back to seven forums and tell me if it worked.
:)

For a network issue, Im not very experienced on these matters. You will need another person...sowie...
btw, welcome!
