I have just finished upgrading a friends PC to windows 7. Just some minor crap I had deal with (endless reinstall of the same updates etc.) but nothing major. My next undertaking on this machine is this. I have the system HD as master on IDE1 and a backup drive as slave on IDE1, no issues works as it should.
what I'm trying to do is have one DVD r/w and another hardrive on IDE2. When I hook it up I have the dvd rom as master and the HD as a slave. On every boot windows want to install the HD and put the drivers in place. Am missing something or is this just one of those things I can do nothing about? I have never installed a HD on IDE2 before so I am in new territory for me
