I checked my user account and I have only one and that is me, and it is listed as administrator but from time to time I get messages that a program has to be run in administrator mode.. the one I remember is Adobe flash update always fails becasue it say I ahve to be in admin mode... I am in admin mode all the time.. is this a known issue with win 7?

Sometimes right clicking the application, and selecting "Run as Administrator" fixes this problem.

Fixes it for everything?? so I pick one program and right click and make sure it is run as admin and that will make all programs run as admin.. I thought doing that will only make that one program run as admin????

Just one program, do it for those which you are having trouble with, I assume it's only Adobe Flash Update that's giving you the problem.

I have a few programs that do this. One I recall was Super AntiSpyware when it needed to do program updates (not definition updates).

Other things like command prompt for certain tasks also need me to right click "Run as administrator". Even though I am the administrator. I just go with the flow  .
