Need to re-enter WPA password each time

Yes, sign-on automatically is checked, but at each sign-on it only connects to wifi when I re-enter the WPA password.

Looking over this site, I see this is a known issue, but most solutions seem to require going to the network map. And mine is blank!

Control Panel / Network and Internet / Manage wireless networks is blank. Nevertheless, I get a choice of available networks when signing on to wifi. In fact the list shows all of all the wireless in range as well as past ones.

Same list of all current and past wifi connections when I click on "Connect or disconnect".

But nothing shows in the "Manage wireless networks" page! When I run "see full map" from the Network and Sharing Center, there's the message: "Windows cannot discover any computer or device."

Next steps please? I've run virus and malware. Not sure how to update drivers, but those of the same date run on my wife's machine which does not have this problem. We both have same machines:

MSI A6000
Win 7 all updates
Comodo security

And we connect to the same router. Just my machine requires re-entry of WPA passwords. Grrr.

TIA for any tips!

Carls

This is a fairly common problem but with many possible solutions. The link below shows a few solutions that have been working for people. Try them out and if you have any questions let me know. :)
