Just found out I have one USB on my MoBo that simply doesn't work. The MoBo's box says it's a "USB 3.1 Type-A". I tried looking up the Drivers for it, and the ones I find are just USB 3.0 (which I already have and work without issue), which supposedly would work all the same. So, anyone knows if there's a specific driver for that? Hardware IDs are:

PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1ADA&SUBSYS_21633842

OR

PCI\VEN_1B21&DEV_2142&SUBSYS_21421849

(I have two USB devices showing up as without Driver in my Device Manager. MoBo also has a USB-C, so I reckon that's why. No idea of which which is which, tho)

Thanks in advance.

The specs for the Z270 Extreme 4 say
2 USB 3.1 Gen2 10Gb/s (1 Type-A + 1 Type-C), 8 USB 3.1 Gen1 (4 Front, 4 Rear)

Note
2 USB 3.1 Gen2 = 10Gb/s
8 USB 3.1 Gen1 = 5Gb/s which is the same as the original USB 3.0

ASRock has two drivers for Windows 7 64-bit?
Intel USB 3.0 driver ver: 5.0.0.32
Asmedia USB 3.0/3.1 XHCI driver ver: 1.16.38.1

OK, seems like my own driver was a bit out of date. The USB-A working now, although the USB-C one still shows with a missing driver.

Did you install both the Intel and Asmedia USB drivers?

The Z270 chipset only supports USB 3.0/2.0. The Asmedia chip adds support for USB 3.1. That is why there are two USB drivers. There is no need to complicate things unless installing the two drivers doesn't work.

According to mother board specs it has:
2 USB 3.1 Gen2 10Gb/s (1 Type-A + 1 Type-C),
8 USB 3.1 Gen1 (4 Front, 4 Rear)

The Z270 chipset. supports the 8 USB 3.0 Type-A ports
The Asmedia chip supports two USB 3.1 ports. One is type-A and the other is Type-C.

Z270 Chipset supports
Up to 10 USB 3.0 ports
Up to 14 USB 2.0 ports

ASMedia ASM2142 chip supports
Up to 2 USB 3.1 ports

Note
USB 3.0 = USB 3.1 Gen1
USB 3.1 = USB 3.1 Gen2
