so, things aremn't gertting any bedter in my life. don't know if any of you have been following. first i had cancer, then my sweet husband sudenly died, now ii've had a stroke. i was trying to move my computer and it sliped out of my wonky hands...stopped booting up. turns out some parts have come unplugged. i figured out one, but there are 2 more. no money fior "the computer guysd". so i started looking to see what eklse i might have,, oh yeah, t6 monyhs after my husbaznd died, his father diierd, i brought g=his electronics to my house. my mother-in=lawb doesn't use the computer, dioesn't drive and doesn't warth telwevision. this is ahole other zstory. so there are 2 acer laptops,. this one i'm using runs windows 7 and it's fine. the other one runbs windfows 10 which mAkes me insane. between acer and windows q

If you have access to another computer, you can purchase a legal copy of Win7 off Ebay. You can go here to get the drivers for your eMachine:

HI Linda,
i take it you want to put W7 on the W10 Acer.
Getting hold of the installation disc data is not a problem.
It depends on whether
a) did it come with W10 on it or another OS, can you see the same MS label on both comps
(if it came with W8 or W10 youll just see a postage stamp sized MS logo not like the big sticker on yours)

Little sticker means youll end up having to pay out for a W7 licence, ($150 approx) & buy it from a reputable source, NOT a one time seller.

If its got the W7 sticker on it fine, i can get you a link to get it.
(If the original factory restore option is still there you WONT need anything.)
