Hi Everyone,
I had a random program that I was able to change the Windows Version i was at. But now it is conflicting with most of my programs, for example an rdp patcher says I am not official windows 7.
If anyone can help me switch it back to home premium and to prevent stuff from happening to my computer, that would be great.

Here is what an example looks like in a regular program:

What is the licensed version which came with your PC and is printed on the COA sticker affixed to it?

Download and use that version only to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 with the Product Key printed on the COA sticker, following the steps in the blue link to get a perfect install.

This is actually a licensed edition of windows, and it does not show that mod in cpanel system.

Okay,
Clearly no one understands that I have Windows 7 Home Premium, valid, but (I think windows key finder) was able to change my OEM name of my software.

Again, it is validated and activated, but the strip of where the version is is wrong.

for example an rdp patcher says I am not official windows 7.

I thought you were getting non-genuine messages, hence asked for MGADIAG to help diagnose the issue.

I am not getting that error message of genuine windows, it is just that programs identify my OS as home premium but with a modified string of (mcbeat version) at the end of it. How do I edit that?

I have no idea - perhaps there is a registry key that can be manipulated, but I'm not sure.

Use a System Restore Point to restore to a time before you ran this software?

Check the details of this registry key:

Code:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion.

Copy & paste the details here - do NOT go blindly edit it.

Be careful with that RDP file mate.....I would strongly recommend you scan your system for malware.

It isn't virus free - thats what I'm telling you, and thats why your thread was removed by the Admin. I scanned it using several anti-virus engines and got several hits. Scan your system!
