Hi there
I'm looking for a faster program to create DVD's than CONVERTXtoDVD -- although it does the job OK it still takes a LONG time even when all 4 cores are being used on my machine (probably need a faster one I know but there we are !!).
Nero seems to have plenty of options of creating VIDEO DVD's but I can't seem to find any method of adding subtitles (usually from a .srt file). I'm converting MP4 and MKV rips to physical DVD's to be played on physical DVD players.
(NERO 2014 with all the bells and whistles). Is it worth getting a permanent license for NERO for this purpose).
So far although CONVERTXTODVD takes a while it DOES do the job properly and can create decent chapters and a menu if you have several episodes in the DVD you are trying to create.
Or is there anything better.
My Workflow is as follows
1) Get either original commercial DVD (.iso) or MKV/MP4 RIP.
2) for Commercial DVD - use AnyDVD to De-regionalize / decrypt it and create a "clean" iso on HDD. I get a few REGION 1 DVD's - which won't play on my stand alone DVD player - TV handles NTSC / PAL no prob.
3) Burn either the de-crypted iso or MP4/MKV rips to a DVD with CONVERTXTODVD to another DVD for playing on a physical stand alone DVD player.
Step 3 is the one that takes a long time.
Cheers
