as i tried to install the .net framework 3.5, i got an error just after finishing installing the programme. The instalation would fail just after finalising the instalation. I looked up for some common issues and i found out that the error might be caused by the microsoft framework 3.5.1 being turned off and so i tried to swich it on and off but after running the installer 20 times without success and uninstalling the 4.5 version, i dont really know what to do next in order to get no 'error in setup' using framework 3.5.1 being swiched on and not having any other framework (4.0/4.5) on my computer

Any suggestions/clues that may cause this issue?

Have you tried uninstalling 3.5.1 and then installing 3.5?

Is there a compelling reason to use .NET 3.5? 4.0 and 4.5 are much newer and are compatible with the older versions. Unless a particularly badly coded piece of software is demanding .NET 3.5, I would just let Windows Update take care of getting 3.5 into your machine.
