Why won't some netflix content stream through WMC?
I have an HTPC in the living room hooked up to HDTV, and one in my bedroom with HDTV as secondary monitor. I use Windows Media Center with my Netflix account linked to both of them.
OK, here's the problem. I've been running into a lot of movies and TV shows that you are supposed to be able to stream instantly. They work if you go through the website, not Windows Media Center. In Media Center, under the title of the video it says "Available onDVD, Blu-ray, and streaming" but they only give you the options to Add to DVD queue or add to instant queue.
I called the Netflix customer service hotline and the newb on the phone told me that I had to use the website for some movies because they need to be played through the silverlight player. Umm, isn't Windows Media Center based on the silverlight player? Anyway, after talking to this guy for a few seconds, I came to realize that he didn't even know there was a Netflix app built in to WMC. So I hung up on him, more frustrated than before. I plan on calling later and trying again, but I figured I would ask for help here instead because I'm more likely to get a knowledgeable answer from someone who knows what they are talking about. Thanks in advance.
