Netgear WG111v2 beta driver

Keep both Windows and Netgear running?

Hi, can someone tell me if I need the originall software program installed and running or can I uninstall the Netgear Smart wizard and just keep this driver installed? On my task bar I have both the windows connected to the internet icon and the netgear one as well and I was not sure if I am just wasting resources having both. Thanks

You can close that service. I tried uninstalling the software and the driver went with it... (You might have different luck) But I leave the software on the computer and just don't let it start, and it doesn't bother me... Somebody else may have another solution...

How can I disable the software program so that I am just using the driver and Windows connection?

I originally downloaded the driver from this thread but I did not want the driver check program installed on my computer. The website with the compatible driver for this will only let you download the driver and keep it, if you keep their software on your computer.

Where is the driver?

I have the exact same problem with my wireless device not being able to detect any wireless networks. I've followed the link, which takes you to the drivermax.com site, but there is no driver to download. The link to download the driver just takes you to the drivermax.com site and there is no driver to download. Help!

it is compatable but nightmare to find the drivers, i found them though after hours of searching for developers!! nothing else worked after wasting time.

go to www.weinsteinsolutions.com/wg111v2.html

sorted me out and saved me hours of work (whos got time to spend doing all this!)
has instructions to follow for win7 and vista and friend also confirmed it works on 64bit as well as 32bit. cost is nothing compared to time one could spend.
highly recommend!
