Solved Network Adapter problem

Hi,
The wired internet connection on my PC went down the other day and I am having trouble fixing it. It says there are no connections available even though the network works fine on my laptop. When I go to device manager, the network adapters tab is missing.

Please help!

Hello Dacon, and Welcome to Sevenforums!

First off, you may need to use a USB drive, and that other laptop that is working, in order to download and transfer the driver. If you need help locating the driver, tell me the complete make and model of your computer, such as Dell inspiron MX101, or the exact name of the part, such as D'link mobile M100SX (All fake examples). If you are able to locate the driver, install it (presumably through USB device) to the troubled computer AFTER removing any previous drivers for that particular device (Wireless LAN).

One possibility is that this may be due to corrupt BIOS. Perhaps it shall get sorted out by downloading the latest BIOS and flashing them on to the Mobo.

Thanks for the help guys. The problem was actually the LAN setting under BIOS was disabled after my PC crashed last week. Not sure why the settings was changed but just had to enable it again. internet works fine now!

So it was the BIOS after all. You are lucky that you were saved the trouble of flashing them. Good that you are now back to normal.
