Hi all

Since a week, my Network (LAN) adapter on my HP Compaq 6730b Windows 7 64bit, deinstalls itselves.
I have no idea why this happens. Have installed the newest driver from hp.com (Broadcom Wireless LAN Driver for Microsoft Windows 7 ) but there's no change.
(i've installed it, and a few minutes later it deinstalles itselves again -.-)

There's only a message: "The network adapter was successfully removed."

Updates from windows 7 are also done everytime there's one.

I'm in the internet now with my WLAN-Adapter...but the speed is not that high if you know what i mean ;)

Has someone an idea why this could happen?

THx 4 every answer!
And sorry 4 my gramatical fails, i'm swiss :zip:
Kind Regards
MaagM

Try booting in Safe Mode and installing the adapter. If it says installed then it's a setting in normal mode that has been changed and that's why it's "de-installing" itself.

Hi CBlunt

Thx 4 this fast answer!

I will try your step in an hour.
Have installed the driver again (not in secure mode), and have found an activated setting that is called "system can shut down adapter to safe energie". Have deactivated it now and will answer if it's not the resolve of the problem.

doesn't work

I tried it now, but the same problem comes up again.
I installed the driver successfully in secure mode.
Reboot
5 Minutes in normal mode --> de-installation
I think the Dockingstation or the laptop itselves has a problem (Hardware) because the mouse and the keyboard aren't working since today -.-
