Hey,
I just installed windows 7 on my Compaq Evo W8000, and I have had troubles connecting to internet (cable). Once I plug the cable in, the computer doesn't recognize the ethernet cable at all. When I look in the "device manager" folder, instead of Network Connections it shows it as "Other Devices" (this can be found beteen "Monitors" and "Portable Devices". When I open IE it says "Windows did not detect a properly installed network adapter. If you have a network adapter, you will need to re-install the driver". I'm quite computer illiterate, so some guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Philip
