Hi guys/gals,

On one of our computers there is something very : recently, the system has been reinstalled, W7x64 Pro, with all appropriate drivers from official websites, like Intel chipset, networking etc.

The problem is following: turn on the computer in the morning, there is no network connection. Upon check in the network adapters, there is apparently no network adapter recognized. The computer gets a reboot, and the network card is recognized and working the whole day, even if the computer gets restarted. It happens only once, apparently after it has been turned off the whole night.

The newest networking driver for this adapter (Intel 82578DC) has also been downloaded and installed (and also checked as installed in the device manager properties).

Any ideas what could be causing this? I haven't yet tried BIOS reset or similar, as it was working without a fuss on the previous W7 installation.

Any suggestions are welcome!

Thanks
Kosta

One trick that may work is:
boot into safe mode
go into Device Manager
delete the device having an issue(in this case the network card)
reboot normally.

Windows will reinstall the current driver. For some reason this fixes many glitches. But not all. It doesn't cost anything to try it. :)

Thanks, will try, however tomorrow a PCI NIC should arrive, which I will try too, to see if this is driver or device related. It would be funny though that it is driver related, as the computer is a fresh W7 installation, and it is happening with the W7 driver and the Intel driver.
