Windwos did not show any network connections in the network connections window. I tried everything that I could find online but nothing worked. As a last resort I decided to reinstall the driver for my Intel 82566DC-2 Gigabit network connection. I uninstalled the old driver and then installed the latest drivers but now I get code 31 (cannot find the driver software) in device manager and the connection doesn't work. I'd really appreciate any help :)

Go to device manager right click on the device, select properties, driver tab, click to unistall the driver, a new window will open, place a tick in the box delete driver software, delete.
newstart the PC, go back to Device manager right click on the device, click on update driver software, click on browse my computer for driver software, browse to the driver location (ie CD) click next and the driver should be installed.

I tried that already. When I browsed for the new driver it said that the driver is already up to date and when I installed it myself it installed lots of new files but the problem still persisted. I might not have deleted all the driver files when I uninstalled because I could uninstall it over and over again, but the "delte files" checbox didn't appear anymore.

I used the driver but in the device manager I still get code 31 for some reason. And the driver files that are listed there don't show the newest driver version but are some old ones although I did uninstall the old driver beforehand.

Driver Sweeper didn't recognize my networking drivers. Probably because it doesn't support cleaning them. Is there any other way I can get rid of the old driver?
