Hello,

As the thread title states, am experiencing network crash / loss of internet connectivity during file downloads. This happened 1/22/18 as I was downloading MS Office 365 using Google Chrome on 3 occasions and again 1/23/18 when downloading iOS update through iTunes for iPhone 6. Frustrating! Called our internet provider Spectrum, they said we did not exceed bandwidth and the connection looks fine. Cannot recall any changes made to system within past 72 hours.
Our network is wired and consists of 1 desktop PC and 2 laptop PC's that are networked running Windows7 Pro. We have Static IP with Spectrum and a VOIP router connected to cable modem along with Linksys routers providing wired ethernet connection (the crash occurs during wired connection).
Any insight / advice is much appreciated - thank you in advance!

I'm not sure its the same problem as yours. I use BTHub5-KGFP WiFi Router Fibre Optic which is cabled into the main Windows XP computer from the router and I use the WiFi connection to my Windows 7 32bit laptop.

The problem I have is on the laptop. I use a lot of forums and when I reply to a question I can spent a few minutes typing in all the text and additional info. When I click send/submit it say Network connection lost. I have to disconnect and reconnect to get the connection back. I've learnt by this stupid fault to copy all text before I post.

BT is my ISP. I've been online and on the BT site you can talk to an advisor. Total waste of time as they aren't experts.

I typed in my problem and the normal stupid reply, have you reset your router. They said I'm not expert I will get one to phone you. This guy phoned and I explained my problem. He asked if I had a cable to connect into the laptop. I plugged it in and obviously it connected just the same as WiFi.

I said this connection is electronic and software. It isn't semi mechanical where it pulls a relay in to connect. He said yes you need to contact your laptop manufacture to see it there are any software updates. I've need on the Samsung site many times for software updates. I have the latest but I still have this annoying problem. He couldn't give me any more solutions.
